promethazine/phenergen anti vomiting/nasuea can i take when pregnet?????
im about to become pregnent and i have a phobia of vomiting and im taking the pills above to help me in my therapy process because im afraid of being sick..but will these pills affect my pregnancy or my baby???
i wanna take it to avoid throwing up during pregnancy but what could happen to my child or me if i do please help?????

Promethazine has not been studied in pregnant humans, but seems to be okay for animals. Antihistamines like promethazine can increase the risk of fetal seizures, which is why you'll want to discuss your options with your doctor before you get pregnant.
Other drugs that are prescribed to prevent morning sickness are compazine, zofran, and reglan. Zofran seems to be the most effective according to my pregnant friends, but it's incredibly expensive unless you have very good insurance.
