How soon will I get regular after getting off the Patch?

I am going to go off the bc patch in a couple weeks after a year and half on it, and hope to get pregnant. How long will it take my period/cycle to become regular after I go off? Sometimes my cycle wasn't all that regular before the patch. Should it be better now?

Every woman is different, but usually within three months your periods will be back to normal. If you had irregular periods before, they may become irregular again after going off the patch.

I'd recommend seeing your doctor and discussing going off birth control and trying to get pregnant. He or she can help you get on the right track and hopefully reduce the amount of time it takes you to get pregnant.

Also-- start taking a multi vitamin with folic acid ASAP. Your baby needs that in the first few weeks of pregnancy to prevent some birh defects.
