Still feeling effects of one 15mg. MSIR tablet, and took it 20 hrs ago! Is this
Was prescribed the morphine Thursday morning and took my first pill yesterday around 5:30pm. Im still feeling tired and almost "hung-over" today. Does it just take some time? Or is this how I will feel everytime I take it? >

Okay....maybe this will help. Any meds that I have taken in the past seem to linger with me, moreso than most people. Just not this long! For instance, percocet, while I was told to take every 4-6 hrs. as needed, would put me down for 8-10 hrs. So I expect it to last longer than expected, but this is ridiculous!

The effects of medication have to do with many factors; your weight, what you have eaten and have you combined this medication with any other substance (liquor, medications)
Some questions to ask yourself is have you had enough water throughout the day? Have you eaten full meals?
If it is your first time taking this Morphine, the body has to adjust to the effects. This is a very potent medication which your body is not accustomed to. It may take a few days of use for the body to begin to adjust. You can always ask your MD if there is a lower dose---less potent medication that could control your pain.
