It is also used in the treatment of patients with viral infections caused by the virus of varicela to zoster, as well as in the treatment of seropositivos patients before a transplant of the bony marrow. Its effectiveness in the treatment of the infectious mononucleosis well has not been documented nor in the treatment of hepatitis B.
