Of course variables come into play when clculating this because the BMR isdifferent for different people. If you take in more calories than your daily BMR then you body stores the extra calories as fat. If you take in less calories than your body needs to function daily then fat stores are broken down for energy needs. During times of stress or illness your bodies BMR may be higher and you may need a higher amount of calories to meet your bodies needs.
